The European Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapy’s (EABCP) 48th World Congress took place in Sofia, Bulgaria this September. In order to maintain professional accreditation, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists are obliged to attend a number of training events annually. Anne-Marie chose to attend the EABCP conference in Sofia because of the variety and quality of trainings offered, the calibre of international trainers & their institutions (including University of Oxford and the Beck Training Institute, both centres of excellence for CBT training & research) and the emphasis on up to date research & development in the field. It was also a lovely social and cultural experience providing the opportunity to experience the beautiful city of Sofia, connect with former CBT colleagues and make new friends in the CBT community.
