How To Refer
We operate an email alert (subscriber) system to share details of treatment spaces as they arise with our therapists in Cork, Fermoy & remotely.
If you wish to receive our alerts, simply email your name to admin@ccbt.ie. Your name and email address will then be held on our system. If the time and venue as described in an alert suits you, please make contact directly with the therapist to request a booking – their direct email will be shared on the alert.
You may unsubscribe from the subscriber alerts at any time. No commitment to treatment is required until after the first or second session when you’ll know if CBT may be a good fit for you. This usually means that CBT as it’s been explained to you using an example from your life makes sense to you. In addition you’ll be willing to engage in the CBT practice between sessions ( as explained to you by your therapist).
Please request a booking in response to an alert only if you can attend the appointment time offered for the duration of treatment i.e. same time, same venue, same frequency (usually weekly, sometimes fortnightly). Please only consider requesting/securing a booking after any pre-booked holidays or leave you may have coming up soon in your diary.
For your general information, average treatment time is typically 8- 12 sessions.
Parents/guardians may join the alert system where they have prior agreement with the young person to engage in CBT. A telephone consultation with a parent guardian is required prior to securing a booking on behalf of a young person as there are additional elements to treatment to explain to you for CBT with adolescents.
Dr. James O’ Mahony manages his own waiting list and you may contact him directly by phone or email; 087 2657582 / drjames@ccbt.ie

Our Fees
Fees are set between €85 – €100 per 50-60 min. per individual treatments per session depending on the therapist. For young people, the fee per session with both parents is €120 (a requirement for at least one session separate to the young person).
Payment is always required on the day of the appointment.
The attendance and fee policy is explained to you when you make your initial booking as part of your appointment confirmation notice.
