CCBT Cork maintains strong links with CBT training programmes & as such we are pleased to welcome Tara Kearns as a trainee with the centre in 2021. Tara is undertaking a Masters in CBT with ICHAS- Irish College of Humanities and Applied Sciences. Tara has successfully completed her first year of training and looks forward to completing her CBT research as a requirement of her second year of the Masters programme in 2022.
As a Speech and Language Therapist, Tara has extensive clinical experience of working therapeutically across the life span i.e. with children, adolescents (and their parents) and adults including our senior citizens. Tara offers online CBT treatments currently as part of the CCBT network (under the supervision of Anne-Marie Shepherd) with plans to extend this to in person sessions in Marlboro St. from Autumn 2021.
As a scientist practitioner, Tara is passionate about delivering CBT treatments proven to be effective for common mental health issues.
